Hello, hello!
I have just returned from a little mini trip to Yorkshire to visit Charlotte's farm.
It was refreshing for: my creativity, my lungs and my mind set
To share this wonderous experience with you I have created this blog post.
Just imagine your nan going through the slideshow of holiday pictures, this is what I'm aiming at.
Would you like a cup of tea and a biscuit before I begin?
Would you like a cup of tea and a biscuit before I begin?
This picture sums up the trip to be honest, a lot of plodding about in wellington boots and admiring a lot of little lambies.
May I introduce two very important people, Charlotte and Blue (Charlotte is the taller and slightly less fleecy of the two).
Blue was hand reared and has fallen in love with Charlotte, he follows her around with the occasional skip and enjoys a cuddle. He is one special little lamb and very quickly stole my heart.
Things I learnt over my time at the farm:
1. Sheep are noisy! They were baaing so loudly that I was more then a little intimidated and deafened the first time I walked through the pens.
2. Lambs have dirty knees. I think it's because they have the same compulsion as little children at a disco and they enjoy skidding across the floor on their knees.
Now, a blog post wouldn't be complete without a cat picture to be honest. This is Toby, I have seen many pictures of him but meeting this handsome ginge in person was something else. He is a true farm cat and a bit of a beast, I hear he catches lots of rabbits. What a gorgeous boy!
This is a special moment between Blue and I and I will treasure this picture forever. You can just about see his little round belly here, he's a bit of a chubber to be honest. You can also see from the picture that I got into the farm chic fashion with a body warmer I borrowed.
For now I say goodbye to Yorkshire, but I hope to visit again soon.
The clean air and lamb cuddles have left me feeling refreshed and ready to attack my work with a new energy and enthusiasm.
Therefore I must leave this post to get on with other exciting things.
I would appreciate it if after you've finished your tea you could leave your mug in the sink on your way out.
